Mosquito-borne Diseases
Surprisingly, mosquitoes cause more human deaths than any other animals on Earth. Over one million people worldwide die from mosquito-borne diseases every year. Mosquito-borne diseases are diseases which are spread by the bite of infected mosquitoes. The mosquito and pathogens such as parasites, viruses, or bacterias does not harm each other. However, pathogens reproduces inside the mosquito and can be transmitted to humans and other animals. Examples of mosquito-borne disease include parasitic diseases such as malaria, viral infections such as Yellow fever and Zika virus, and bacterial diseases such as Japanese encephalitis.
